KURT LOCKWOOD - Life Objectives

Kurt Lockwood - A variation of the old saying "the unexamined life is not worth living" is the philosophical addendum "and the un-lived life is not one that is worth examining." Henry David Thoreau encouraged us to "suck the marrow" out of life lest we be "excommunicated from the Milky Way." That is why punk rock has always appealed to me. Passion. Passion for life. Passion for love. What gets you out of bed in the morning. There is so much tragedy. So much bad news. What keeps you going? What is your personal raison d'etre, you reason for being? So many people sleep walk though life blindly conforming, they're like sheople. I have always marched to the beat of my own drummer. I have always taken that "less beaten path" and like the poem continues, "it has made all the difference." As Freddie Mercury sang, "As for mistakes, I've made a few... I consider it a challege before the whole human raise and I wouldn't lost." So what do I like to see worth challenging? Well, challenging the system wherever and whenever I can where I see things that are that should not be or aren't that should be, I love travelling the world, seeing it's historical wonders, it's amazing feats of engineering, working out, pushing my body and testing it's physical limits, enjoying music, the sweet bromide of the soul, all art does indeed aspire to the level of music, learning new things excites me, the wonder, the thrill of not knowing, current events are massively addicting and endlessly fascinating if altogether fleeting, movies move us, inspire us make us think, make us cry, make us cheer, remind us of the full gamut of the human condition, clothes, yes, I admit to being a bit of a dandy, great dinners, food is a necessity in which I indulge with the utmost pleasure (hence also all those hours spent in the gym, lol) fine wines, developing the pallate to differentiate from one delicious full glass of Pinot Noir to the next, laughing, the music of our hearts, good times with good friends, the human ambrosia of companionship, basically living and loving life to it's fullest, staying in the moment, enjoying each passing breath with my beautiful, sexy, gorgeous, intelligent wife and my Godsend of a son, making each one matter, each one count as if it is your last, life is the most precious of gifts and happiness is a choice that accompanies this mortal coil, this adventure of flesh that is to be human. As the band Muse sings in their classic song, Knights of Cydonia, "Don't waste your time, or time will waste you...."
